Documenta 5

Edward Ruscha

description

Ruscha was invited by Harald Szeemann, the organizer of Documenta 5, to create an image for the exhibition, which ran June 30 - October 8, 1972. The image was also reproduced as a poster and the "5" element of the design was also used on the cover of the exhibition catalogue. This work was printed by Adolf Rischner at Styria Studio, New York in three colors.
